Understanding What VoIP’s All About

Perhaps you’ve heard of VoIP services, but are unsure of what that means – or what it can provide for you and your business. To start, VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. It is a technology that enables users to make phone calls through the Internet instead of through analog phone systems. When a person makes a VoIP phone call, his or her voice is converted into a digital sound and then transferred through the Internet. There are many business benefits associated with VoIP technology, which are not only reliable, but also provide the following:

VoIP Can Save You Money

Businesses are able to save considerable amounts of money when using VoIP to make phone calls. In fact, local phone expenses can be completely eliminated, and in some instances, so can long distance charges.

VoIP Systems Are Completely Portable

Another reason a
VoIP phone system is reliable is because it is completely portable. Through any broadband Internet connection, VoIP technologies can be used. This means that regardless of where a person is located, with an Internet connection, he or she can log into a VoIP account and make calls.

VoIP Provides Flexibility

When using a VoIP phone system from a provider like Broadview Networks, users  are no longer tied down to their desk phone.  The most advanced VoIP phone systems can be extended to any device, including laptops, tablets and smartphones. Most VoIP converters, or softphone applications, resemble a USB memory stick, and they easily plug into computers. It is important to note that the converter does not connect to an actual phone. Instead, it connects to a computer.  The computer literally becomes a phone that can be used anywhere there is an Internet connection—all you need are headphones and a speaker.

VoIP Has Built-In Business Continuity

Businesses will also find a VoIP phone system to be reliable because it can be used to avoid disasters and business interruptions. Most businesses have had to deal with the costly impact of not being able to operate, whether due to a natural disaster like Hurricane Sandy or a more common occurrence such as an equipment failure. The benefit to using VoIP technology is having the ability to stay connected and operational no matter what happens. VoIP phone systems give businesses the ability to work from anywhere and forward incoming calls to other locations, such as to unaffected offices and even home and cell phones. This way they do not miss any opportunity to connect with clients, prospects, employees and stakeholders.

Check Who is Copying your Website or Blog

All search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing love to index original contents only. Here’s what I mean by original contents is no copy paste.

Some bloggers or webmasters copy whole articles or post and paste to their own website but this is not a good idea, if someone really wants to their website on the top the person should create their own contents.
Because including all major search engines hate to index duplicate contents.

So if someone is stealing your website or blog article, contents so you can check for those websites by using search engines. But there are wonderful tools which makes it more easy and accurate like www.copyscape.com

How to detect copied contents using copyscape:
  • Go to www.copyscape.com
  • Copy url of the page (which you want to check) and paste to search box
  • Now search, if no match found so no one copied your contents. Else it’ll show the list of matched web pages.
  • You can see my blog result here
You can also place a free warning banner on your website to warn peoples.

Comment your response!

Solar-powered airplane

One pilot, zero passengers and a message of inspiration are bound to make a trip in a solar-powered plane from one US coast to another on May 1. 12,000 photovoltaic solar cells cover the Solar Impulse's 64.4 meters wide wings providing it with enough power to make a flight without any need of jet fuel. The plan is to make a 7-10 days stop at every major city to educate people and advertise their support of sustainability and technology. The flight will take off from Mountain View, California and stop at Phoenix, followed by Dallas and then one city among Atlanta, Nashville or St. Louis. Solar Impulse will make a halt at Washington D.C. before reaching its final destination, New York.

The solar plane has made successful flights in the past including its first intercontinental flight from Spain to Morocco last June. The airplane was built with the original purpose of being able to fly at day as well as night. Consequently, the new goal is to make a continuous flight of five days and five nights in near future. Each leg of the flight for the US trip will last for around 20 to 25 hours. All this, achieved by a single pilot, leaves little time to rest but pilots are trained for the challenge. An autopilot system is also in the works. Solar Impulse is scheduled to reach New York's Kennedy airport in early July.

At a top speed of 50mph this probably isn't the most efficient route to take from coast to coast, but who is to say that progress can't be made. While Solar aviation isn't a new concept, this airplane achieves more than its predecessors by making a flight in night with a pilot on board. And here's to the hope that next-gen solar air-travel will do much more.

TRICKS TO MAKE WINDOWS 8 FUN

Hello friends, today we are gonna discuss about  top tricks to make you windows 8 fun, many of you would have updated to windows 8 and are enjoying it, but this article will help you to know your windows 8 better. windows 8 is made for speed . its a fact that windows 8 is much faster, more responsive and smoother.those who are using this operating system are enjoying the experience.

Here are some tricks which will make windows 8 much more interesting. and if you are using windows 8 on a touch screen device it will be a fun experience.

1. Overview Your Entire Start Screen By Semantic Zoom
If you’re using a touch screen, squeeze the Start screen with two fingers to receive a bird’s eye view of your entire screen contents. This is useful when you have a lots of apps/programs installed and want to see all the apps without scrolling the contents up and down.

2. Use Windows Hot Corners
The corners on your screen provides you to different Windows features. Below, is a brief explanation of each of these corners.

Bottom Left-hand corner of the screen will allow you to access the Start screen, if you’re in the Start screen and have the Desktop open, this corner will open the Desktop from the Start screen.

Quick Tip: Right-clicking in the left hand corner will open the power user menu.

Moving the mouse to the top-left corner and then down will display all the apps running on the computer. Clicking and dragging any of these apps to the left or right-hand side of the screen will snap that app to that side of the screen. Each of these open app icons can also be right-clicked to close or snap.

On the full right-hand side of the screen will be given access to the Windows Charms.

3. Why Close Buttons Are Hard To Find?
Closing a program seems easy, but you might have noticed that close buttons are hard to find in Windows 8. That’s because Microsoft encourages us to run apps in the background where they’ll take up minimal resources, but still be accessible at any time!
Still, anyway, you can close an app 1) by dragging it from top to bottom, or 2) using Alt+F4 keys or 3) using the task manager.

4. Find Anything Using Power-packed Search
Search looks power-packed. Start typing anything you are looking for in the search bar and it will search in the apps, files/folders and emails too.

5. Windows 8 God Mode Folder?
Create a magic folder which contains all the Windows 8 setings and hidden tweaks:
1. Create a “New Folder” by right-clicking on empty spot in any directory, preferably Desktop.
2. Give the folder this name: All Settings .{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
3. Open the folder to see a complete list of settings.
But be careful for using advanced settings, don’t change them unless you are an expert.

6. PC Slowed Down? Get Fresh Windows 8 Easily in Minutes!
In Windows 7 and previous versions, you had to format and reinstall the entire OS to get a fresh feel. This was a tiresome and time-wasting process. Windows 8 provides an in-built way to refresh your computer!

In order to perform the Windows 8 refresh, go to Settings and click the Change PC Settings tab near the bottom. Select the General tab and find the “Refresh your PC without affecting your files” section near the middle (you may also select “Remove everything and reinstall Windows” to get the true factory settings treatment). Select “Get started” and press “Refresh.” After a few minutes the PC will restart, and you will have a fresh copy of Windows 8.

7. Shut Down Shortcut:
Windows 8 hides the Power button in the Settings menu, so it takes multistep process just to shut down your PC. But you can pin a Shutdown button right onto the bottom of your desktop using following trick:
Create a shortcut on your desktop (right-click, go to New, then Shortcut). Enter “shutdown /s /t 0″ (with no quotes, and, yes, that’s a zero not an “O”) as the location of the item, and press Next. Now name the shortcut (prefereably “Shutdown”) and press Finish.

Right-click the shortcut, and navigate to Properties. Choose Change Icon in the Shortcut tab, and then OK to leave the warning box. Choose an icon of your choice from the list. In the screenshot above, you’ll see we chose a Power button.
Right-click the shortcut again, and select Pin to Start. You can place the icon on your Start screen wherever it’s convenient. Clicking it will instantly shut down your computer.

But which one is the easiest and fastest way to shutdown? Hit power button on your computer!

8. Classic Start Menu
This is the thing many people keep missing on Windows 8. If you want to anyway want the Start menu on Windows 8,
ViStart, a free utility will do a good job.

9. Fun Way To Password-protect
Windows 8 enables you to create a picture password, where you choose an image, then draw on it in a combination of taps, lines and circles – only someone who can reproduce this pattern will be able to log on. Select Win + I > More PC Settings > Users > Create a Picture Password to give this a try.

10. Mount ISO files in Windows 8
Right-click it in Explorer, click Mount and you can view it as a virtual drive, launch the files it contains, or add more if you like.

11. Windows 8 Recovery Options
Windows 8 provides useful, advanced options to recover when a disaster occurs.

12. List of Most Important Hotkeys
Here is a list of hotkeys to make your Windows 8 experiece even a fun:

Win : switch between the Start screen and the last-running Windows 8 app
Win + C : displays the Charms: the Settings, Devices, Share and Search options

LG Optimus G2

LG Optimus G2, the successor of Optimus G, is now claimed to be the fastest smartphone of the world, toppling the recently released Samsung Galaxy S4.

According to GLbenchmark, a popular benchmarking tool, the new flagship handset from LG that will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset has the highest benchmark score till date as compare to any other smartphone currently available in the market, atleast for now.

Though the phone has not been announced officially by LG, most of the details are already available through this result. As per the benchmarking results specifications of LG Optimus G2 D801 are 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor, 2 GB RAM and the Adreno 330 GPU. It will house a full HD 1920x1080 pixel display. And while size of the display is not known, rumors suggest a 5.5 inch display.

LG Optimus G2 will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It is also expected to house a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing camera for video chatting.
Rumors have been going around that Optimus G2 will come with Octa (8) Core processor from LG, called Odin. Even though this Benchmark score talks about a Qualcomm chipset, possibility of Odin can't be ruled out even now, because there is still a possibility that LG will reveal two versions of the smartphone with two different chipsets, just like the Samsung Galaxy S4 which comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 as well as Samsung Exynos Octa core chipset.
